Gaming and mental health

computer_danger_3Game-playing and mental health may appear to be mutually exclusive categories, but in this blog, Dr Tracy Dennis observes that mental health practitioners have a lot to learn from game developers.

Dennis goes farther to say that mental health care will be gamified, whether or not mental health practitioners like it. She makes a strong case for the ways that video games can be used for training positive mental health habits for everyone; she also writes that they are likely to prove useful for a lot of problems from ADHD to addiction and PTSD.
